AT CORTINA D'AMPEZZO
Amarone at high altitude
At Cortina d’Ampezzo, Masi welcomes guests to Col Druscié, at an altitude of 1778 m at the first stop of the Freccia nel Cielo, the cable car running from the heart of the famous "Heart of the Dolomites" to Cima Tofana. A favourite of skiers and high mountain trekkers for its outstanding food and wine, Masi Wine Bar is also frequented by holiday makers who prefer a stroll along Corso Italia and a more socialite Cortina, all brought together by the promise of excellent Amarone wine and breathtaking views of the Dolomites.
Located right in front of the legendary Col Druscié A piste, and with a perfect view of the Forcella Rossa, Olimpia and Vertigine Bianca pistes, famous for the World Ski Championships, the Masi Wine Bar “Al Druscié” is an integral part of the lively atmosphere of top sports events, in harmony with the enviable lifestyle of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The interiors are informal yet elegant, combining the traditional style of Ampezzo with contemporary design, featuring the use of COR-TEN steel and wood, a concrete sense of solid materials and evocative lighting.
The large external terrace stands out against the extraordinary backdrop of Monte Tofana, Monte Cristallo and the wide valley of Cortina, revealing a breathtaking landscape, snow-covered in the winter and luxuriously green in the summer.
Specialty food and drink are of the order of the day, with wine taking pride of place: the entire range of Masi wines accompany traditional Veneto dishes, of which wine is often an essential ingredient, such as Valpolicella cold cuts refined with Campofiorin
, Risotto all’Amarone Costasera
with flakes of Monte Veronese cheese, and pork jowls braised with Amarone and honey …absolutely delicious!
